Sakes alive…if you all are interested in some Irish music with a Christmas-y flair, come check out Tom and Dale as they are backed by the 16 (or more) golden throats of Fred West’s Cantabile Choir. (“Cantabile” means “smooth singing style”. One would expect no less from a choral group, eh?) What’s that?....This just in from their manager, Manny (do you believe that?!? I mean a manager named Manny. I used to have a swimming instructor named Mr Gill…) He says that the lads are actually the guests of the choir – not the reverse. (NUNS!!! REVERSE!!) Well, in that case, I hope the price just went up, Mannie ; )

At any rate, according to Mr Manny Manager there are two chances to witness this marvelous collaboration between our Irish boys and…wait - what’s that?? Manny says it’s an Afro-Celtic-Christmas concert. I think the lads will be just as surprised as you…neither of the boys plays the thumb-piano…or the didgeri-doodle-doo…but I’m sure they’ll give it their best shot. I’ll tell ye, you never know what these two lads are going to get themselves into. But as soon as I find out, you’ll be hearing from me.

Oh - as I was saying…have you ever been to that ENORMOUS cathedral somewhere, I think, on Capitol Hill, with the HUGE carved wooden staircases and stained glass your mother would never love because of all the dust they’d collect? Well, it’s not there. The first one – ohhh – I’ll just give you what Manny sent:

Saturday, December 14, 7:30pm

Green Lake United Methodist Church

6415 1st Ave NE, Seattle WA

Sunday, December 15, 7:00pm

University Congregational United Church of Christ

4515 16th Ave NE, Seattle WA

It says the ticket prices are $20. It also says “City Cantabile Choir performs the Gospel Magnificat with Gospel composer Kent Stevenson paired with traditional Celtic music. See the dance dialogue of step and tap dancers on the same stage.” I have no idea what that means. But I means to find out!

Be good, Kiddlins,
